Community Legal Advisors (CLA), a division of Freiwald Law provides vital legal services at very affordable rates to all individuals and families in our community. Our CLA legal team provides the kinds of life-planning advice and services that most working families simply cannot afford because of the high rates big-firm lawyers charge.

The goal of CLA is to give people power over important life decisions. We want to help our clients make vital decisions now so someone else doesn’t make decisions for them later.

Aaron Freiwald

Freiwald Law continues its work representing individuals and families who have suffered serious losses from medical malpractice, defective products, motor vehicle accidents, toxic exposures and other causes. As trial attorneys we have seen the problems not being prepared can cause families. Through CLA, we are helping families make sure major changes in health or life circumstances don’t cause serious problems in the future.

The legal profession has to make a greater effort to make legal advice and counseling accessible to the public at an affordable price. Poor planning in health care decisions prove particularly devastating, which is why we created CLA.

These are some examples of the kinds of legal services CLA provides at very affordable rates:

  • Wills – A Will takes effect at the time of your death and allows you to provide for loved ones, friends, and charities as you see fit. A simple Will costs only $150.
  • Trusts – A Trust is a highly flexible legal document that allows your assets to be held for the benefit of yourself or another. A Living Trust, for example, costs just $500.
  • Powers of Attorney – A Power of Attorney allows you to grant authority for someone to act on your behalf now or in the future. A General Power of Attorney costs $150.

It is important to be proactive in planning for old age or illness. There are many ways to communicate your wishes to loved ones and healthcare providers to ensure that you will be treated with the compassion and respect that you deserve. For example:

  • Living Will – Specifies lifesaving or aggressive medical treatments according to your beliefs. A Living Will costs $75.
  • Healthcare Power of Attorney – Designates a person and provides guidelines for them to make important healthcare decisions on your behalf, in the event that you cannot do so. A Healthcare Power of Attorney costs $150.
  • Advance Healthcare Directive – Combines a Living Will and Healthcare Power of Attorney. An Advance Healthcare Directive costs $150.

We pride ourselves on the affordability and transparency of our pricing. We welcome the opportunity to speak with you further if you, your friends or family are interested in the services CLA offers. Please feel free to call us at (215) 875-8000 or e-mail us at cla@freiwaldlaw.com.

Growing up with a severely disabled brother has helped me to understand the types of hardship a family can face. My goal with CLA is to be there for others who are going through a difficult time.
